Driving License for Expat Ladies in Saudi Arabia-Simple Steps!

Get your Saudi driving license !!!!

For dependent ladies in Saudi Arabia, for those who already have their home country driving license.

The procedure explained in detail follows..

You must have your original home country driving license with you. Grab it and get set go!

Get the license translated through any of the approved translation offices. They may charge you around SAR 50 for translation
Please make sure to check the major details in your translated document (like license number, dates etc..) for their correctness as per the original, before you leave the translation office.

Next, Get the translated document attested from your home country embassy attestation centres. As an example, for the Indians get it attested from the VFS global in your respective cities. The location for Riyadh VFS Global for Indians is shared here. Please make sure you reach the attestation centre before 12noon
They may charge you SAR 50-100 as attestation fee. We paid SAR 67. It may vary for each country.

Now get the translated document attested by Chamber of commerce in your respective Saudi cities. One of the Location in Riyadh is shared here for your reference. They will charge you SAR 25.

Now you are done with the documents!! It is time to get the appointment for your driving test. The appointment is currently provided only from Traffic police office in Riyadh.. Location is shared here for your convenience.

Take all your translated documents and the original and proceed to this traffic office. Police officials will guide you throughout to reach the ladies license appointment section.
*They will verify your documents and provide you appointment date and time for the driving test in your respective cities(JEDDAH OR DAMMAM)*
They will give call you on the previous day of test to confirm your appointment.

In the meantime, as per your convenience get your mandatory medical test done at an approved medical clinic in your respective cities.. They may charge you SAR 173 as a fee

On the day of the test, reach on time at the test center provided you. The test location in Riyadh is King Khalid airport traffic which is given below.

Once the test is successfully completed you will be asked to pay the fee for the license. You can pay it online through online banking accounts of your husbands/parents. Fees will be SAR 200 and 400 for 5 years and 10 years duration respectively as you choose. Once you complete the payment they will immediately issue your driving license!!!
