‘Khandvi’ is a popular gujarati cuisine savoury snack recipe made with a mixture of Besan (Gram Flour) and Chaas (buttermilk) / Dahi (Curd) and other indian spices. But in this besan recipe instead of making khandvi batter and spreading, in this method we will directly pour batter and steam it in kadai. In traditional method you have to be Be quick in spreading the cooked khandvi batter but in this method it’s simple and easy. This gujarati snack is also known as pataudi or dahivadi and in marathi it is known as suralichi vadi or patuli.

Khandvi Recipe Ingredients
FOR BATTER
1 Small Bowl Besan (Gram Flour)
1 Small Dahi (Curd) – Little Sour
2 Hari Mirch (Green Chilli) – Finely Chopped
1” Piece of Adrak (Ginger) – Randomly Chopped
Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
½ tsp Haldi (Turmeric) Powder
Namak (Salt) – to taste
2 Small Bowl Water
Some Cooking Oil – for greasing

FOR TEMPERING
1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
½ tsp Sarson Ke Bij (Mustard Seeds)
Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
6-7 Kadi Patta (Curry Leaves)
1 Hari Mirch (Green Chilli) – Finely Chopped
1 tsp Safed Til (White Sesame)

STUFFING FOR STUFFED KHANDVI
Fresh finely Grated Coconut
Finely Chopped Dhania Patta (Coriander Leaves)
