This is a video of a flowchart that aims to show how race and class interacts to fuel right-wing demagogy, which is a powerful ideological weapon employed by populist political leaders in even advanced capitalist democracies (such as the U.S.) to gain decisive votes in elections in order to ensure, by being elected, that the interests of the ruling classes are always ahead of the interests of the masses--a significantly large section of whom, ironically, vote for the demagogues (by succumbing to their demagogy due to lack of critical thinking).

The underlying premise of the video is that while it is true that humans are the only species that have the genetically-determined capacity for unfathomably cruel blood-soaked barbarism and oppression, it is also true that the modality of the reproduction of their species, with its biologically-determined demand for altruism and community (loosely understood), indicates that human beings are sufficiently altruistic, intelligent, and rational to preclude systematic ideologically-based barbarism and oppression, solely for its own sake. (Note: “capacity” does not necessarily mean “necessity” or even “propensity.”)

In other words, at the root of all forms of barbarism and oppression is the gross misuse of power by ruling elites (involving the manipulation of such social-structural variables as class, race, ethnicity, gender, etc.) for a mélange of malevolent purposes; they range from maximizing capitalist profits unlawfully to scapegoating marginalized social groups for political objectives, and from maintaining a kleptocratic hereditary autocracy to empire-building—the latter in order to groom jingoistic self-esteem, wield belligerent power globally, super-exploit the labor and resources of peoples abroad, and so on.
