How to unlock an E27 locking plastic lampholder if you need to check the wiring or shorten the cable... Never do this when it's connected to the electricity!
1. Pull the brass triangular locking piece inward towards the centre of the lampholder
2. Unscrew the threaded 'body' or 'skirt' to give access to the wiring (you need to also unscrew the grubscrew for the cordgrip before the cable will be free to move)
3. Push it back down and out so that when you put the threaded skirt back on it locks again.
4. Tighten the 'body' and it's locked again!
