TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu asserted that rebellion has started within the YSRCP, claiming that party MLAs are fearful of contesting in the upcoming elections. Speaking at the 'Ra.. Kadalira' public meeting in Rajamahendravaram, he predicted that the YSRCP would face vacancies after the elections.

Chandrababu criticized YSRCP leaders, alleging harassment of women on the streets and warned that they would meet a similar fate if they obstructed the opposition. Referring to an incident where activist Durga Rao was reportedly harassed by the police in Macharlo, he condemned what he termed as the maniacal rule of the YSRCP.
