Lowering springs look great, but with the w212 e63, I found the drop from the H&R springs was a bit too much at ~2.25" In this video, I use dense neoprene to raise it back up to a perfect level... Almost.
Conceptually, this works. You can buy the car-tire dense 70 neoprene in many different thicknesses, from 1/32nd to 1". In this video I tired 3/8's
