Marcie Stevens was one of the survivors of the Westboro bus crash. The crash happened in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada January 11, 2019. Three people lost their lives and many others were wounded. Marcie, is now a double-amputee. The crash caused The Ottawa Hospital to call a Code Orange and was one of the largest mass-casualty situations the hospital and its trauma team had ever seen. Patients like Marcie are a testament to the skill and expertise of the trauma team and the hospital as a whole. After 13 weeks of countless surgeries, two amputations, and weeks of rehabilitation, Marcie finally made it home to her family. Her journey with The Ottawa Hospital continues to this day. This is her story, two years later.
