The Two-Banded Tiger Moth (Amata bicincta) — also called the Nine-Spotted or Handmaiden Moth — is a striking day-flying species of Arctiinae.

📍 This video presents the first illustrated field records from Pakistan, documented at:

• Islamabad (QAU campus) — 11 Aug 2025, 9:31 AM (yellow-opaque morph; mating pair).
• Jagal, Haripur (KPK) — 20 Jul 2024 & 2 Apr 2025 (transparent-hyaline morphs).

Key highlights:

• Black abdomen with two yellow bands
• Wing spot polymorphism (yellow vs. transparent)
• Mating behavior: male below, female above
• Semi-natural & agricultural habitats
