Found these lovely vintage gladstone bag or doctor bag. It's not the best looking one but I think they can be restored.

From an early age. I always had a facination with gladstone bags or doctors bag. I have a very vague memory of watching a movie one day of a men in suit carringy one of these bags and I thought 'golly, that guy looks so cool, I'd love to be him one day'

Leather doctor’s bags date all the way back to the Victorian era. They are traditionally known as gladstone bags named after Victorian prime minister, William Ewart Gladstone

The bag soon became adopted by doctors for the same reason. Back then, it was very common for doctors to make home visits to patients and a large, lightweight bag for carrying equipment made these trips a lot easier.

I tried to search for these bags in Thailand when we did our thift shopping but I couldn't find it. One day, i saw someone getting rid of this. I knew, I had to have it.

I reached out and 2 days later it was mine.

The quality of the leather looks amazing. It comes with a lot of flaws like these buckel that cannot be locked. I am thinking of adding magnets which I feel might help, what do you think?

Back has some scartches as well but it's going to be a fun project trying to restore these bag or at least try to restore them
