BMW E60 and E61 subwoofer and power amplifier retrofit I ARS24

Especially for vehicles with notchback there is now the Hifonics MR8DUAL with bandpass principle. The bass reflex port is routed directly into the passenger compartment, so that the full bass pressure reaches the passenger compartment. The subwoofer is driven by the monoblock audio system R1250.1. A powercap Hifonics HFC-1000 we recommend of course always in addition.

1st note: The HLC4Plus installed here in the clip is currently no longer our recommendation, as there are many BMWs that already output a filtered signal on the rear speakers. Thus, we recommend to take the HLC2Plus and thus only the front speaker signal. When installing an additional subwoofer and bass amplifier, a Y-cable must be used in that case.

2. note: Usually the amplifiers are best installed in the spare wheel well. The installation under the rear shelf is rather unusual and was an explicit request from the customer.
