In memory of our esteemed leader, Sri Raja Kasaiah

Sri Raja Kasaiah passed away on the morning of July 15, 2024.

Sri Kasaiah was the eldest son of Sri Raja Sarojini and Sri Raja Vertaswarlu. This couple had two sons and six daughters. Raja Kasaiah’s life was not easy; he faced numerous struggles. At the age of 30, after losing his father, Kasaiah took on the responsibility of caring for his younger siblings and sisters before his marriage. He fulfilled all these responsibilities and then married Krishna Kumari.

Sri Raja Kasaiah studied at the Government High School in Narasaraopet and later completed his degree at SSN College. During his school years, he played a crucial role in student politics.

Sri Kasaiah had strong relationships with prominent Congress leaders from the united Telugu states. His political mentor was Sri Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, and he was also closely associated with leaders such as Sri Kasu Krishna Reddy, KVP Ramachandra Rao, Sri Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan, Raja Sekhar Reddy, and Sri Kodela Siva Prasad Rao.

Sri Kasaiah had a remarkable voice, and his speeches were invigorating for his listeners.

Arya Maratha people faced many difficulties in their education and job opportunities. To address this, Kasaiah made significant efforts by bringing the sentiment from Narasaraopet to Delhi, meeting with Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao and then Chief Minister Raja Sekhar Reddy. Through these efforts, he ensured that Arya Maratha people were included in the BC category. This wo eliminated the need for students to pay additional fees and created better job opportunities.
