Fife Coastal Path Part 5 Crail to St Andrews

After taking an 8 week break due to injury I'm back on the Fife Coastal Path. It was a lovely day but cold and windy at times. It was probably the hardest part of the route so far but also probably one of the most enjoyable. I had to climb over boulders, walk along beaches, muddy paths, up and down slippy stone steps and dodge the in-coming tide.

I walked from Crail to St Andrews, 14 miles and took approx 5 hours due to the slow going of parts of the route.

One thing I strongly advise is to check the tide times for this part of the walk because if it's high tide then you will struggle to pass some bits and you'd have to wait for the water to recede, unless you fancy a dip in the sea.
