The Birks Library

On the second floor of the Birks building, the Birks Reading Room is one of McGill's smallest libraries. As you enter Birks reading room, you will see it is an intimate and quiet study space, where shoes go off at the door. Birks has space for individual study at its large study tables, each with several individual study lamps and plenty of natural light. There are three computers available in the library for word processing and research. The elevator can be accessed from a side entrance to the Birks Building. Accessible bathrooms are located in the basement near the elevator. If you are looking for a well-lit, almost universally quiet study space, Birks Reading Room is perfect for you. Birks Reading room is located University Street, the second building above Milton Gates.
