This is the most exciting psychological experiment in terms of predicting early signs of success in a child conducted by Walter Mischel at Stanford University in 1972. The video discusses number of factors which contributes positively in a child's journey to be a successful adult. A number of children were given 1 marshmallow each with a promise to be given 2 marshmallows if they resist eating 1st marshmallow in 15 minutes. This study was done to check the patience and self control of all children and if these factors contributed in long term success of all those children as there were various studies conducted on them for next 40 years. The Marshmallow experiment was a success but also controversial and its authenticity was checked by conducting another marshmallow experiment in 2018 by Tyler Watts in Columbia university. This video will discuss the results of both experiments and the lessons which are relevant in our lives
