In this segment, Ashley describes how an unrelated medical situation led to multiple scans and tests to figure out why there were abnormalities showing up in her lung (nodules). Her doctor sent tissue samples to Mayo Clinic in Arizona when he learned she had never smoked, never worked in a plant, and didn’t work in gardening/soil. Ashley also dives into how she processed the news of her lung cancer diagnosis and how she broke the news to loved ones.
