Commuters swear it’s there before anyone arrives. Cameras show the glass fogging unevenly, then the message resolving itself, letter by letter. When the sun rises, the words vanish without a trace.

Who wrote it before anyone arrived?

City workers cleaned the glass, replaced the panel, even installed heaters. The message returned the next morning, in the same handwriting, always saying the same thing:
“You were early today.”

No one admits writing it.
Some people stop taking that bus because the message is always right.
