If you don't know these Fishing knots, you are missing out!

Follow along as I teach you how to tie 6 of the best fishing knots out there.

The first of these extremely useful fishing knots is the arbor knot. This is the best knot for attaching line to a fishing reel. It is often overlooked because it is not used for lures or hooks, but literally ever fisherman can benefit from knowing the arbor knot. This knot can be used for spinning reels ,baitcasters, and fly fishing reels.

Next I show you how to tie a palomar knot. This is of the easiest, strongest, most useful fishing knots there is. It is an especially good knot for braided line. The palomar knot can be used for hooks, lures, and swivels alike.

The third fishing knot I show is a uni to uni splice. This is one of the oldest, most commonly used splice knots in fishing. It is best used when tying two similar sized lines together and is popular for mono to mono line connections. The uni to uni splice knot can be used to attach new line when you have a bad break off, and it can be used to attach leaders to your mainline.

Next I demonstrate a loop knot. The knot knot is another under-rated fishing knot. Using this knot will give flies and lures more action if they do not come equipped with a split ring or swivel. It can also be used to attach a leader to a swivel to give your fishing rig a more natural range of motion.

The fifth fishing knot is the traditional snell knot. It is the most difficult to tie of the bunch, but it has years of proven success as a strong, reliable way to snell a hook. Use the snell knot when fishing circle hooks, and when using live or chunk bait. Snelling a hook increases its holding power when fighting a fish, and helps a circle hook turn into the corner of a fish's mouth

The last knot of the bunch is the improved clinch knot, also known as "the fisherman's knot". This easy, reliable fishing knot is often passed down by fathers and grandfathers, and has withstood the test of time. It is easy to tie, strong, and has a sleek profile that prevents weed buildup.
