In this non-traditional sole swap hybrid, I work with a pair of 1995 Nike ACG Hiking boots with complete sole separation to bring some new life to them. My buddy 'The Sneaker Savant' (check him on IG HERE: www.instagram.com/thesneakersavant/) told me that he had this old pair of hiking boots that the soles were falling off of and a pair of newer, 2017 hiking boots, that had a busted zipper on the uppers. He was interested to see what the older uppers would look like with a newer sole and if they would continue to remain a functional hiking boot.

This project was FAR outside of anything that I had ever done before but I was happy to give it a try and see what this old upper would look like with new tooling for the sole. This was definitely a very unique project for me but I'm happy The Sneaker Savant trusted me enough to take a swing at it and I think that we were both really happy with the results!
