After two days of horse trekking and white water rafting in River Valley, we are using our third day in River Valley Lodge to unwind and check out some of the free things to do in River Valley New Zealand. River Valley is an adventure lodge with backpacker budget accommodation and heaps of activities making it essentially what we believe one of the best hostels in New Zealand.

As part of the free activities in River Valley, we do the walk in River Valley to an awesome viewpoint along the Rangitikei River. There are also heaps more free things to do in River Valley making it one of the best budget accommodation in New Zealand.
