Part of the beginnings of the LGBTQ community in Phoenix, the 307 Lounge was one of the first LGBTQ friendly nightclubs. In exchange for drinks, Tucson artist Ted DeGrazia painted the walls with murals when he was still relatively unknown. The original location at 307 E. Roosevelt burned to the ground in 1951. The 307 then moved to 222 E. Roosevelt but kept the name.
