It's important to celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, for many reasons. When you give yourself time to reflect on your achievement it allows you to gain some perspective on what it actually took to get to where you are now. How you've changed, how hard you've worked, and truly realize some of the sacrifices you've made. It also allows you to acknowledge and thank the people who have helped you along the way. They also might like to take the time to celebrate your achievements with you.
