Protecting fingers with finger guard while chopping

Lisa uses a stainless steel finger guard to protect the fingers of her "holding" (non-cutting hand). She is able to use the guard to stabilize the fruit or vegetable while she cuts it. She finds that it can be awkward to figure out, but that it does protect her fingers.
