Jeep Cherokee XJ 1996 easy CPS Swap (Crank Position Sensor changed easily from the top)

Описание к видео Jeep Cherokee XJ 1996 easy CPS Swap (Crank Position Sensor changed easily from the top)

There are quite a few videos out there showing how to pull out the CPS from under the car, using a LONG bunch of extensions. For those of you who really don't want to do it that way, here's an easy alternative that only requires spending $7-10 to buy a pivoting 11mm ratchet wrench (or getting a set for not a whole lot more). To find one, try searching for "11mm Flexible Head Gear Wrench". And FWIW, the set of metric flex head wrenches from Harbor Freight does NOT include an 11mm wrench (which is the wrench you need for this Jeep CPS).

Just an FYI - the problem with the car in the video ended up NOT being the CPS, but a bad alternator. It had some bad diodes, which causes it to put out voltage spikes that were interfering with the operation of the CPS and its associated circuitry. That doesn't change the process or the video a bit. If you're interested, the video showing the troubleshooting of the alternator can be found here:    • P1391 NOT the CPS, 1996 Jeep Cherokee...
