Dual use is not simply a matter of choice but a broader dynamic that constitutes as an AI governance gap. The presentation will focus on the global AI and cyber regime complex, as well as trace the geopolitical and technology priorities of the leading countries and regions. This includes an analysis of overarching strategies, government interventions, and newly emerging regulatory landscapes that represent approaches towards digital sovereignty. With the European Union as a leader in digital regulations, the presentation will offer a deep dive into the regulatory landscape of cybersecurity, data, and privacy protection with a focus on the newly proposed EU legal framework on AI.
