A Blue-Collar Slob's Geology Primer

In an uneloquent and somewhat scattered manner, we bring you a 30 minute disjointed intro into plate tectonics, rock types and everything you might need to know in order to understand why certain plants occupy certain regions of the globe and how to BEGIN to understand what the shit rock you might be looking at in a roadcut or on a mountainside and the venues through which you might be able to figure such a thing out (ie looking at a geologic map on an app such as "Rock'd" or reading a used and tattered geology textbook). 


Geology is tied directly into botany and plant ecology, plus having a good understanding of the geologic timescale (not touched upon in this here vid) is a good way to calm your ass down when the anxiety is gettin' you turned up and you feel like you might be prone to attacking your boss, your neighbor or yourself.
