This is part 2 of a 2 part video series on Thiolized Hazy IPAs.

Part 1 I discuss the free vs bound thiols, mash hopping to add thiols, dip hopping, using Omega's Ultra thiolized yeast strain called Helio Gazer (OYL-405), limiting vegetal in the brew process, and I also go over all of the ingredients for my Thiolized IPA that I brew in the second video. Part 2 (this video) we jump in and do the brew day, using all of the methods I discuss in Part 1, including mash hopping to add thiols, dip hopping, using Sues Vide magnets to dry hop and more. Check out the full recipe below!

Thiolized Hazy Recipe:
Grain Bill:
2-Row Malt 9.0 lbs. (63.8%)
White Wheat Malt 2.0 lbs. (14.2%)
Flaked Oats 2.1 lbs (14.9%)
Honey Malt 0.5 lbs (3.5%)
Acidulated Malt (optional - I used 8 oz to lower the mash pH to 5.2- 5.3. But this will be specific to your water profile) See my water/pH video here for more details:    • Beer got that "HOMEBREW" Taste?!?  SI...  
Other items:
Ascorbic Acid 4g in Mash (helps prevent oxidation and preserves beer (vitamin C)
0.5 lbs Rice Hulls to prevent stuck sparge

Mash Temp: 156F for 60 mins
Batch Sparge 180F for 10-15 mins

Hops:
Cascade 1.5 oz. In Mash for 60 mins (adds thiols)
Mosaic Cryo 1.0 oz. DIP Hopping in 180F water for 15-20 mins in place of "Whirlpool"
Cascade 1.0 oz. Dry Hop at high krausen (day 1-2)
Amarilla Cryo 1.0 oz. Dry Hop at high krausen (day 1-2)

Yeast:
Omega Helio Gazer (OYL-405)
Fermentation Temp = 67-68F

Expected Details:
OG - 1.065 (Mine was 1.063)
FG - 1.019 (Mine was 1.015)
ABV 6.1% (Mine was 6.3%)
