Hi there, flat towers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Hopkins Nite-Glow flex coil cables.With the Nite-Glow ends and eight foot length of cable, this is an ideal cable for a flat tow setup. They are available in a few different configurations. We're using the most common, which is going to be a 7-pole round on our motor home side and a 6-pole round on our vehicle side. But there are some other configurations in case you don't need all the pins and you maybe only have a 4-pole or a 6-pole on your motor home. You can also get them in a 7-pole on one side to a 4-pole on the other sides for just your lighting for your vehicle.

Can also get it with a 4-pole round on each side, or you can get it with a 6-pole round on each side. But again, the most common is going to be your 7 to 6.And you can see here where it gets its Nite-Glow name. The cable glows when plugged in when you have your running lights on, and this is really ideal for hooking up at night, because you're likely going to have your running lights on anyway but what's cool about that is when you go to plug this in, sometimes you're fiddling around at night trying to get it in there, and you might think you got it all the way in, but you don't actually have it all the way in and not making a good connection. With the Nite-Glow, once you see it, aluminate, you know that you're in there, plugged in, because it's powering up the light here.The other end of our cable's not going to light up until this side is plugged in. You get your power from the motor home side, from it's running lights, so you want to make sure you plug this side in first, see that it glows, and then when you go down to the other side, this side's already going to be going from getting power from our motor home, which is going to make it a little bit easier to see to plug this one in because you've got the light from the other end here.In addition to making it easier to plug the cables in, it's also going to increase your visibility at night.

So that way the drivers around you will know that you're flat towing, that there's not just a Jeep driving behind this motor home.The coil design is ideal for our flat tow set ups because we have such a big distance between our motor home and our vehicle and this is going to keep some tension on it, which keeps it up off the ground. Then when we turn and make any maneuvers like that, as our vehicle becomes closer at certain angles, it can suck in, but still maintain its distance from the ground.Each end also has easy grip handles, so you can just easily pull it out of there with no effort. Then you can see where we plugged it in it lit up, so we know we got a good connection there.There's easy grips on both sides and inside of our coily cable, the wires that run down it are going to be 16 gauge wires, which should be more than enough for any of your flat tow components. There's a nice, solid sheathing around everything to keep it nice and protected so you'll have a good operating cable for years to come.We're now back inside the shop where we could turn off all the lights so you can get a better idea of what this is going to look like at night. Just plugged it into our tester box here so you could see the glow.

This is going to make it much easier to find your cables to disconnect them at night, because we know after a long drive, you get to your camp site, you might want to start unhooking and getting everything ready, this is just going to help make your time a little bit easier and get things done a little bit faster.
