Waithaka Ndindiko is our guest today .

Born and raised in Kiambu County, Nyamuthanga, Waithaka rose to fame when he first recorded his first song in 1995 "Kirira Kia Naihenya".

Between then and 2011 ,waithaka went into acting local Kikuyu films where he got the name Ndindiko.

In 2011 Ndindiko recorded another hit song "andu marekanire" which he says has helped fend for his family

Waithaka narrates how he got an opportunity to go to the UK in the midst of hardships ,where some people thought that he was actually running away from problem since his wife at the moment was expectant.

Ndindiko says that he carried his clothes in a Nylon bag after the person he had borrowed a bag took it back on realising he was flying abroad.
