Railfanning CSX’s St. Louis Line (with CSX 1875 and 1967) - 8/1 & 8/18

Two of CSX’s newest heritage units, CSX 1875 (P&LE) and CSX 1967 (SCL), made their way westward to East StL, so I took the opportunity to not only catch them, but to see some other action along the former Conrail line.

1875 showed up on August 1, while 1967 came through yesterday. Both were attached to I007.

Funny enough, after I had returned home in Missouri, I saw on Heritage Units that CSX 1869 (C&O) was due to arrive at Rose Lake (It served as a DPU on M685). Although it arrived late in the evening and well past the time I had left, I’d imagine it would’ve been nice to get a 2-in-1, but hey, I’m satisfied with what I got today.
