DON'T HAVE AN EMBOSSING TOOL?
You can use: A nail art tool, a tapestry needle, the end of a knitting needle, crochet hook or paint brush. You can also use an HB pencil with tracing paper so the graphite doesn't get on your work or a ball point pen without ink.

The Embossing Pen with multiple nibs shown in this video is an 'X Cut' brand. The wooden one I've owned for years.
