Yorkshire’s Brutal Cobbled Climbs: Shibden Wall, Trooper Lane & More

Today, we’re in West Yorkshire for an epic day of riding some of the toughest cobbled climbs you’ll find anywhere on the planet. Now, these climbs may not have the fame of the ones in the Tour of Flanders, but trust me, they pack a punch. We’re talking about the brutal Old Lane, the infamous Shibden Wall, and the super steep Trooper Lane.

The route? It’s 120 kilometres with a whopping 2,700 meters of climbing, starting in Leeds and heading over the tops to Halifax. Expect leg-burning gradients, rough cobbles, and plenty of epic views. Let’s get rolling and see how these Yorkshire beasts compare to their Belgian counterparts!
