The First Assamese recorded song "Phulu Phulile Jonaye Hahile " recorded by Prafulla Chandra Barooah in HMV Gramophone record on 1924 . Prafulla Chandra Barooah, a composer of music, singer and stage actor of those days of gramophone era, the son of Sangeetacharyya Lakhmiram Barooah. This only piece of rare gramophone record preserved at Umananda Gramophone Record Museum by Umananda Dowerah, the Founder-Collector-Archivist.
