Hair | Not that Bald | Stand Up Comedy By Rajasekhar Mamidanna

Hello friends,

So sometime back my friend told me, 'You are not that bald and stop shaving your head or trimming it for a few days and we will see what happens'.

To my own surprise, I realised that I am not THAT Bald. I am bald, but not like I lost it everywhere.

I have unnecessarily believed that I was bald and I was comparing myself with Vin Diesel, Gandhi and Rajni Kanth. Where as, my hair looked similar to that of Fahadh Fassil. Ya may be Raja Fossil. Few years back with couple of other comedians, I did a show called, 'Bald Balding Baldest'. I assumed I was the baldest. Where as I might be just balding. Ya I don't have as much hair as some of you and I am not that bald as some of you. Anyway last few years mean, I never bothered that much about my hair, because I was shaving and I was focusing on other skills.

I figured though that none of my friends like me :D. They never told me that may be I am not that bald. I should grow etc. They just enjoyed making fun of me and I let them too. I thought that was love. It's just bonkers. Also I think we give too much importance to hair. I am sure it's good, but I think it's fine too. People are much more than the way they look. I have met people who are beautiful but ugly on the inside. Inside Matlab not inside their clothes. Inside their hearts. these days we have to explain everything.

So the bottom line is, I learnt a few lessons.

1. If someone tells you something that you lack this or you lack that, don't just believe them blindly because they are your close friends or family members or cousins. Test it, then if the test results match with what they said, then believe otherwise don't. Like my friend said a few years back, that if I lose hair, no one will marry me. He had hair, he had a girl friend and now they broke up. Guess who didn't break up? Me. hahahaha... okay.

2. Hair or no hair, if you are an unfair person, that's it. That's the end of the road for you. So be fair and forget about the hair. Wow. What a line.

3. So basically, I accepted that I don't have hair and lived through that without any insecurities and now I realised I am not that bald, growing hair and even now no insecurities. I think, I give myself, 8/10 for self acceptance. 2 marks I cut because we need to be humble na. So the lesson is whatever you are, accept yourself. The world may or may not accept you. You accept re.

4. Don't write this long descriptions. No one reads them.
