Most RV manufacturers use furniture covered in a cheap faux leather. You can cover the furniture or replace it like in the case of the sofa ( couch ) in your living room, we replaced ours ( check out our video, link at the end of this video ). But that is just not practical with the benches ( cushions ) for the HappiJac bed lift system in the garage of a toy hauler. We contacted LCI to get replacement covers but they no longer sell those for the version of HappiJac we have. Our toy Hauler is a 2018 Momentum built by Grand design.
So our solution, which is unfortunately not inexpensive, was to have a local upholstery shop make and install new covers.
This video documents the process.
In this video I use time lapse to cover removing and replacing the benches ( cushions ).
l did make separate videos for the removal & installation for those interested in better information on those steps. The installation video shows how I reinforced the support legs of the benches and back rest.
