Things to note about the Sony ECM-AW4:
The included cable is attenuated, this provides line level audio. So if your device does not have audio gain controls the volume will be a little low but can be fixed easily in editing.

To use with an iphone you will need to buy a TRRS splitter cable.
To use with a DSLR you just need the included cable. Most DSLR’s have manual gain control as well.
