In this video, I'll show you how to use Ultimaker Cura 5's bed adhesion settings to improve the first layer adhesion of your 3D prints. A good first layer is essential for a successful print, and using the right bed adhesion technique can prevent warping, lifting, or shifting during printing.

First, I'll explain the differences between skirts, brims, and rafts, which are the most common bed adhesion techniques in 3D printing. Skirts are thin lines printed around the model's perimeter, brims are wider flat structures printed around the model's base, and rafts are complete platforms printed under the model, providing a more stable surface for the first layer.

Next, I'll guide you through Ultimaker Cura 5's settings for skirts, brims, and rafts, including the number of lines, distance from the model, and overlap settings. I'll also show you how to adjust the extrusion width and nozzle temperature to improve the first layer's bonding with the bed.
