On October 29-30, 2024 Cuba brought a resolution to the United Nations General Assembly to end the U.S. Blockade on Cuba for the 32nd year. This year, 187 countries voted to condemn the cruel and illegal US blockade. Only two countries, the U.S. and Israel, voted against. The world had once again demanded loud and clear: "End the blockade now!”

In the week of the UN vote, people from around the world took to the streets, signing petitions, mailing postcards, printing an ad in the New York Times, and mobilizing to end the criminal and illegal U.S. blockade. The 24 Hour Global Online Picket to End the U.S. Blockade reflected the important work being done, bringing people from more then 63 countries together, raising our united voices for Cuba.
