The Public Access Digital Network (PADNET) is Long Beach’s community media center and public access television station on Spectrum 32 and Frontier 41 in Long Beach and Signal Hill.

Through PADNET media centers, PADNET empower Long Beach residents with high-quality resources and training so they can create their own news, information, and entertainment programming that fosters pride and engagement in our community.

PADNET public access channel is one of the few remaining of its kind in the state.

Access to professional video equipment, editing suites, and high-definition television and green-screen studios is the biggest perk of PADNET membership. https://padnet.tv/membership/

PADNET offer everything you need to produce your own, non-commercial video content for the PADNET public access channel, online, and beyond. In return, PADNET ask that you submit your creations for broadcast on the PADNET public access channel.

Create your own productions with PADNET stock of professional video and audio equipment. Check out what you need at any of PADNET locations, twice a month for 48 to 72 hours at a time (depending on the hours of the location where you get it). Once you’ve hit your limit, you can still call the same day you want to reserve the equipment to see if it’s available.

Filming Facilities and Editing Suites:

Run your own show in the PADNET high-definition, multiple camera studio at The Hub. Once you’re certified, reserve studio time using PADNET’s member site. You can book six hours per month for up to four hours at a time.

Harmonie T. Tangonan

Harmonie T. Tangonan is PADNET’s Program & Production Manager. She graduated from CSULB with a BA in Film & Video Production. Her professional career started with public access in Torrance, CA. Many years later, she produced stories broadcasted locally on CNN Headline News and featured in Huffington Post. Harmonie enjoys documentary-style videos and has created them for clients including Toyota, Virgin Mobile, and Virgin America Airlines. She has also worked with USC, Loyola Marymount, LA Unified School District, and international programs abroad to mentor and teach media production. Her ongoing goal is to produce content that has a direct positive impact in the community

Jesus Gonzalez

Jesus Gonzalez is the Equipment and Channel Coordinator for PADNET and is responsible for the management and maintenance of our state of the art studio, editing suites and PADNET’s cable television channel. Jesus is a graduate of CSULB with a degree in Film and Electronic Arts with a focus in Cinematography. Jesus has a passion for storytelling, believing deeply in the power of telling a story through images alone. Jesus’ drive for speedy and accurate crew work on film sets is a valuable contribution to the PADNET studio and productions.
