On February 22nd, a devastating attack occurred, shedding light on the intense Close Quarter Combat (CQB) situations our military faces. Attributed to the al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab group, the attack claimed the lives of ten individuals. The assailants targeted military officials and militia fighters who were actively engaged in an offensive against them. The sequence of events started with a jolting car bomb blast, swiftly followed by a relentless gunfight that raged for hours. Witnesses revealed that the clash took place at a residence in Mogadishu, where it was suspected that lawmakers were seeking refuge.
