Setting up YNAB can be tough. What are you supposed to do if you've already paid your rent for the month? Or what if you bought groceries last week and are setting up YNAB right now? Are you supposed to go back in the past and add all the transactions in? How far back do you go?

These sorts of questions are really common when you're first getting started with YNAB.

The good news is that you don't have to worry about the past. You're just going to add your account balances as they stand right this minute. You'll add those in and then move forward from there.
