What an incredible opportunity. As an independent (Indie) author, I honestly thought the dream of book signings would be just that - a dream. But a local author-themed coffee shop near the town where I live helped make this dream come true.

It started with me working up the courage to ask if I could take my author photos in their shop. After each visit, my husband would ask what they said. I would shake my head while sipping a wonderful Steinbeck caramel marshmallow latte or a Jane Austen white mocha vanilla. Finally, the fourth time was the charm and they were super supportive. So when their annual indie book festival came around, they reached out to see if I would be interested in attending. I was ALL in and instantly began scrambling to get my print copies ordered.

This truly was a special time for both me and the other 15 authors who were also signing. Regardless of the torrential downpour and the tornado warning happening that day, we had an incredible turnout of friends, family, fans, and patrons who were stopping by for a cup of coffee.
