Hey everyone, I'm Evangeline right here at Etrailer. Today, we're talking about the Etrailer two inch ball mount. So this is going to be a pre-torqued ball mount, so it shows up at your door, ready to go, ready to tow. Now we're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2021 GMC Yukon. So the main thing you'll want to think about whenever you tow is how much weight capacity do you have, and are there any like measurements, things like that, that you need to consider to get the best fit for you What we have right here is a very easy to use, very straightforward ball mount. (metal clanking) Now, this actually might be a little too much, or more than what you need for your Yukon, given that this has a 10,000 pound weight capacity.
So double check the sticker right inside your driver's door of your vehicle, and that will tell you your maximum. Right here on our Yukon, it says 7,700 pounds, so follow whichever number is the lowest. Now putting this into our vehicle, if I line it up right where that hitch pin goes, which by the way, the hitch pin is included with this ball mount. And that's where you'll secure it, you'll put the pin in there as well. So measuring from our bumper to the end of our ball mount, this sits about six and a quarter inches out.
From the bumper to the center of the ball, that's gonna be about four inches, four and a quarter inches, and that's gonna be where your trailer coupler sits onto the ball mount, something to be mindful of. You do have a slight drop here, nothing too crazy. So if you we inchesre to look at the base to the ground, that's gonna be 21 inches. So if you're looking at coupler height, and trying to level out how you tow, this is not adjustable, it's a fixed height. You may wanna take a look at the Etrailer adjustable ball mount instead.
Now I really like the Etrailer series of ball mounts because they all have this unique design to them, where you have an E-coat on the ball mount, but then you also have a matte black powder coat finish on top, making for a much different look compared to the regular ball mounts you'll see. Now this does have some wear and tear, but even with that wear and tear, this only reveals that gray E-coat underneath, and it doesn't look rusty. It still looks pretty good compared to most ball mounts I've seen. Your hitch pin is gonna have that exact same material as well. So if you're looking for a ball mount that will work with your Yukon, something affordable, but works really well, this is a good choice for you.
There's also a slightly more affordable one, which has a 7,500 pound weight capacity. That will also work well with your Yukon (indistinct) that will match your towing capacity, but why not get the heavier duty ball mount if you can And that's what we saw right here. This was a look at how the Etrailer two inch ball mount with a 10,000 pound weight capacity and a two inch hitch ball fits on a 2021 GMC Yukon.
