A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal early morning, with tremors felt across the Himalayan region including parts of India and China. The epicentre was reported in Nepal, with significant shaking in Bihar, Bengal, and Sikkim. A 6.8 magnitude quake also hit southwest China. Residents in affected areas rushed out of their homes.
