Here is a un-solicited review of Luna's Leadville Trail Sandals. I've become a fan of barefoot style sandals and running shoes - it's a personal choice and creates debate - but I like the mid-foot strike, the reduced impact, the ground feel, and I haven't blown a calf muscle since I switched. I'm not a serious runner, so take all this with a grain of salt, but I am loving the way my feet feel and work when walking / running barefoot style. I tried another brand of minimalist sandals, but the sole was too thin and flexible resulting in way too many toe catches where the sole would bend under my foot - almost ate it too many times. The Luna Leadville Trail is a much more solid shoe - no toe flop, great traction, positive connection, dries quickly and is not as slippery when wet as the other brand. They worked super well on this rocky trail and another couple of miles cross country over polished granite, tallus, and logs.
