Fairies are very much a part of European folklore, and range from the diminutive to the size of humans. They have influenced beliefs from time immemorial, and have certain relevance in today’s world; with some believing they are spirits of the deceased; or derived from angels; and others believing they are rare creatures rarely revealing themselves to humans.
