In a shocking second fatal shooting within a month, ICE agents killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an intensive care nurse and American citizen, while he was filming a DHS immigration operation in Minneapolis. Trump defended the crackdown on Truth Social, calling it preventable if people made "better choices." Minnesota Governor Tim Walz activated the National Guard following the tragedy. Earlier, Rennie Goode was also fatally shot by ICE in Minneapolis. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama condemned the killings, with Clinton saying he never thought he'd witness such things in America. Celebrities including Olivia Rodrigo, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Mark Ruffalo denounced the shootings, with Ruffalo calling it "cold-blooded murder" by an "occupying military gang."
