笙協奏曲《文成公主》由引子奏出頌歌的主題旋律，技巧方面大部分運用笙獨有的花舌音表現出公主的倩容。也間接體現出唐朝的繁烦昌盛，講述了藏使求婚，文成公主於長安惜別的情緒，樂曲經過講述婚禮大典，漢藏合歡，體現出藏族人民歡迎文成公主的到來，作者把環境的描寫和人物的咸情抒發，精密巧妙地揉合在一條起伏的旋律線上。用獨奏笙通過三吐音型奏主旋律，樂隊烘托，音樂濃墨重彩地渲染了良辰吉E的喜悅氣氛採用低音嗩吶模仿喇嘛寺的丈長大嗩吶的吹奏效果，它像徵著漢藏民族和睦團結的力量堅不可摧。文成公主的功德永垂史冊-該曲是近年來具有東北韻味民族器樂曲創作中少有的優秀作品。

"Princess Wencheng" is an unique sheng concerto piece that introduces the carol in the prelude. The different techniques of sheng demonstrated in this piece are predominantly used to illustrate the beauty of the princess as well as the prosperity o the Tang dynasty. This piece tells a story that begins with a proposal from a Tibetan ambassador, and ends with the sorrows of Princess Wencheng having to leave the capital city, Chang An. The chapters describe not only the wedding party, but also the warm welcome that the Tibetan people gave to Princess Wencheng, showing the unity between Tibetan and Han people. The composer emphasized on the emotions felt by the people, and intricately incorporated them into the flow of the piece. Solo sheng, together with the orchestra and the bass suona completes the celebratory ambiance - celebrating the wedding as well as the unity between Han and Tibet.
