Soil carbon series: Rexton

Описание к видео Soil carbon series: Rexton

Australian cattle farmers Tom and Antoinette Archer found that changing management practices on their property and improving their soil health helped to make their land more flood and drought resistant.

As part of their soil carbon project under the ACCU Scheme, Tom and Antoinette focussed on planting deep rooted perennials across their property and improving dung beetle populations to increase carbon sequestration and improve their soil health.

In their first 5-year reporting period, Tom and Antoinette were able to increase the carbon stored in their soil and earn ACCUs, despite experiencing 2 of the driest years in a century.
