Martial Arts at the Mayapur Gurukula

This clip shows the essence of a traditional martial arts community with all the core values of respect, discipline, honor, and passion. Here at Bhaktivedanta Academy Gurukula, we accept students from all over the world who come to be trained to become better people. Learning this effective system of martial arts is part of their training. The fighting style is called Henry Sue Circular Tong Long (Praying Mantis) and has been developed over the past 50 years by 9th Degree Kung Fu and Tai Chi Grandmaster Henry Sue. This style blends Southern Praying Mantis, Eagle Claw, Cotton Palm, and Tai Chi to create a most effective, direct, sensitive, and powerful fighting system unlike any other in the world. Our martial arts teacher is Sifu Madhava D'Costa, who learned this art under Grandmaster Henry Sue in Australia before establishing the first Indian branch of the Chinese Kung Fu Academy here in Mayapur.
