Sierra Cables PLC (SIRA.N) delivered strong financial performance in FY2025, showing significant growth across key metrics despite some quarterly challenges. This analysis breaks down the company's annual and quarterly results from their latest financial statements.

12 Months Key Metrics (FY2025 vs FY2024):

• Revenue increased 14% to Rs. 9.26 billion from Rs. 8.15 billion
• Gross profit surged 28% to Rs. 2.34 billion from Rs. 1.83 billion
• Net profit grew 24% to Rs. 903 million from Rs. 728 million
• Basic earnings per share improved to Rs. 1.68 from Rs. 1.42
• Total assets expanded significantly to Rs. 13.17 billion from Rs. 8.97 billion
• Net asset value per share increased to Rs. 11.56 from Rs. 9.36
• Cash from operations was negative Rs. 1.03 billion vs negative Rs. 743 million
• Property, plant & equipment grew to Rs. 3.53 billion from Rs. 2.57 billion
• Inventories increased substantially to Rs. 3.75 billion from Rs. 2.32 billion
• Total equity strengthened to Rs. 6.21 billion from Rs. 5.03 billion
• Finance costs rose 32% to Rs. 661 million from Rs. 502 million
• Selling and distribution expenses jumped 236% to Rs. 480 million from Rs. 143 million

The company benefited from asset revaluations of Rs. 433 million during the year and maintained its position as a leading cable manufacturer in Sri Lanka. However, Q4 2025 showed challenges with a net loss of Rs. 110 million compared to a profit of Rs. 74 million in Q4 2024.

Sierra Cables continues to be listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange with a last traded price of Rs. 15.70 as of March 31, 2025, representing significant appreciation from Rs. 11.90 the previous year.
